About Toby

��%BD��%BD%90 Meet Toby ��%BD��%BD%90 A gentle soul ready for his forever home Toby is a sweet young pup currently in foster care after being found as a stray in January, just before the ice storm. He was originally spotted in the Sidbury Road area of Hampstead, and we know this because a local resident had been posting about him in a Facebook group as early as October, trying to get help for him. Based on those posts, Toby had been on the run for several months before finally being brought to safety. After a lot of patience and trust-building, Toby was successfully secured and has been thriving in a loving foster home ever since. The veterinarian estimates Toby is around 1-2 years old and weighs approximately 30 pounds. He's a gentle, affectionate dog with some puppy energy still left in him. Toby has done wonderfully with children and would do best in a home with another dog, which helps boost his confidence and gives him a healthy outlet for his energy. Toby does have some anxiety, and we want to be fully transparent about his needs. He is currently working on crate training and is not yet leash trained. Early on, he showed some escape tendencies, but he has settled significantly and no longer tries to run off. With patience, consistency, and a calm environment, Toby has shown real progress and potential. Once Toby feels safe, he becomes an absolute snuggle bug. He loves being close to his people and soaking up affection.
