About Socks

Sweet Mr. Socks is still available for adoption through St. Francis Humane Association in Richmond, Virginia! This one-year-old boy turned up at our porch looking sad, cold, and scared. My fiance and I took him in and have been getting him all ready for his forever home. Now he just needs you! ��%BD��%BD��%BD��%BD This big old ham is a playful, affectionate man who loves spending time with his people. He's neutered, up to date on all his shots, and dewormed. Socks is FIV+, but don't let that scare you off. This is a chronic but manageable condition that just makes cats a bit more susceptible to things like dental disease and respiratory issues. With proactive vet care, he'll live a long and happy life. FIV cannot be passed to humans or dogs, and it's only passed to other cats through DEEP bite wounds (not grooming, play chomps, or sharing food and water). Socks gets along with other friendly cats like my boy Frank, and a slow introduction to feline housemates will minimize the risk of fighting.
