I'm adorably cute, have a sweet disposition and have never shown any signs of aggression. I'm mostly dog neutral, don't particularly care for cats and love to chase squirrels in the yard. I'm a great girl who loves her foster mom and does quite well in foster but I do have some special requirements that need to be met in order for me to be comfortable in a potential adopter's home. You see, I've been bounced around a lot in the past, dumped, ended up in a shelter etc etc all things that can make a sensitive gal like me a bit nervous in new environments and need some time to settle in and feel safe. My ideal adopter will be female or have feminine energy, ideally live alone and be home often, and have no other pets. If there are other people or dogs in the home, please know that I will probably bond to just one person and ignore others and ignore other dogs. Because of this, I'm not a great 'family dog' and will not be a good companion for another dog. I can however be a great companion for a solo individual ...especially one who wants to spend time with me and is looking for a walking buddy. I LOVE my walks! Ideally I would also need a securely fenced yard or outside area as I do enjoy my outside time. I'm OK in the car but I do tend to get nervous so I'm probably not a good fit for you if desire a dog that you can bring on frequent car rides. A little more about my perfect match; I'm a sensitive gal so I tend to feed off of the energy of my person meaning, if I'm nervous and that makes you nervous, it will amplify my behavior. I need to be allowed the time and space to feel safe on my own terms and without any pressure and I'll warm up and settle in in no time. A confident owner who understands that dogs like me need calm, stable, consistent energy is what I crave.
