Max is SUCH a loving boy with his people. He loves %BD%BDs%BD car rides, %BD%A4 pup cups, %BD%BDZ%BE tug-of-war, belly rubs, adventures, and being close to the people he trusts. But the truth is%BD'%BD| Max is a VERY high-drive working breed dog, and apartment life is simply not the right environment for him. I have tried EVERYTHING I possibly can to make this work, including moving apartments and spending thousands of dollars on training and a board-and-train program that unfortunately made him more fearful, overstimulated, and anxious instead of helping him succeed. %BDs%A0%BD%BD%8F Max is NOT aggressive. He is reactive, sensitive, and struggles with fear/anxiety after a very negative training experience ( I have videos). He needs patience, structure, confidence-building, and the right environment, not punishment. Keeping him confined in an apartment with no yard feels deeply unfair to him. It's like trying to force something into a box it was never meant to fit into. %BD%BD%BD%BD %BD%BD%8F%BD Apartment life has been especially hard on him because he doesn't have the space to naturally decompress or release his energy. The constant stimulation, close quarters, noise, and lack of a yard has made it difficult for him to settle, and instead it keeps him in a heightened state where he can get overwhelmed and reactive more easily. He's a dog who needs space, routine, and room to just be a dog without feeling overstimulated all the time. %BD%BD%BD%BD %BD%BD%8F%BD WHAT MAX NEEDS: %BD A home with a secure yard %BD Someone experienced with working breeds/high-drive dogs %BD An active lifestyle %BD Patience & understanding %BD Space to run, decompress, and thrive %BD Older kids My focus is simply finding him the RIGHT home where he can finally succeed and be happy. %BD%BD%BD%A4 This decision is absolutely destroying me emotionally, so please don't be an asshole. This is NOT being done out of convenience. I love this dog with my entire heart, and I'm trying to give him the life he truly deserves. Max is also on Adoptapet.com and hometohome.com, I have reached out to over 60 rescues and have tried many avenues to do this%BD%BD%90%BE %BD%BD Please message me if you think you could be the right fit for Max or even if you can simply share this post to help him find his person. %BD%8F%BD%BD%BD%A4
