Taz is ready to start looking for a family/person to call his own! Taz is a pint size fella at 13lbs. He is approximately 2-3 years old. He is potty trained and crate trained. Taz is a resilient little guy who doesn't let his past hold him back. He has an old, fully healed fracture in his back right leg. While it means one leg is a bit shorter than the other-giving him a little 'tilt' when he walks-an orthopedic surgeon has given him a glowing review and confirmed he needs no treatment or interventions. He easily goes up and down steps to get into the house and the back yard. Taz is learning that the world is a pretty great place! He can be a little unsure of strangers at first-sometimes he'll give a protective bark or growl, and other times he's totally unfazed. But his brave side is truly shining through lately; he's been willingly walking up to new people to ask for pets and give sweet little licks. With dogs, Taz likes to make sure the vibe is right. For the first day or two, he might act like he's the boss of the house. But don't let the tough-guy act fool you! After a couple of days, the walls come down, and all he wants to do is curl up and cuddle with his canine friends. With cats, Taz is great. For the most part, he completely ignores them, making him an easy addition to a feline home. Taz would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands he just needs time to adjust to new situations and people. Once he knows he's safe, his loyal, affectionate nature takes over. He would make a great companion for a retiree or someone that doesn't want a dog to go hiking etc. It is good for Taz to go on walks and keep his joints moving. Also a home without young children. Someone who likes to take their dog on car rides with them with occassional pup cup is a plus.
