A few weeks ago, we got a call about some kittens living inside a house that had been damaged by a fire. The homeowners were staying in an RV in the driveway while the home was being renovated. They told us they had found tiny kittens tucked away in a closet. Their mama had somehow climbed up the outside of the house and found a hole in the wall where she could safely care for her babies. %90%BE When we arrived, the kittens were about 4 weeks old and in pretty good shape. We were told Mom was around and had been seen regularly. Our plan was simple: get the babies safe and come back for Mama. Unfortunately, things didn't work out that way. When we returned, Mom wasn't there, and the situation had become one where we no longer felt comfortable going back. Anyone who knows us knows we hate leaving a mama behind. It still makes us sad to think about. All we can do is hope someone was able to help her and be thankful that these four babies got a chance at a different future. %9D%A4%8F The kittens are about 10-12 weeks old. Danny (m), Michelle (f), Stephanie (f), and DJ (f), are now safe, growing, and getting ready to find families of their own.
