'It is with a heavy heart I sit here writing this. We are looking to rehome our Australian Shepard -Koda. He is is 6 years old and house trained. He was my mom's dog before she passed in December 21. Since then he has been out of a crate, free to roam the house with no problem. He has not destroyed anything or used the bathroom in the house. Since having our son is the summer of 2023 he has become very territorial of strangers coming into our home. If we let him out side in our fenced in yard while people enter and he has time to cool off before coming in he is okay. But he is great outside the home. He goes to tractor supply, petco, and the groomers with no issue. He has always been around other dogs without issue. We are unsure of cats (we do not have any).He does not like us running/ rough housing in the house with my son. I feel he would do best in an all adult home or someone with teens that understand the dogs boundaries better than a child. He loves being a couch potato and the center of affection. All he wants is love. All the local no kill shelters are full and I would rather him not go to a shelter anyway. I'm hoping I know someone that can help rehome him and get him into a home where he can thrive.'
