At risk of being euthanized, as every adoptable/rescuable dog there is, when the shelter gets over-capacity. Barlette arrived at the shelter on April 8th as a stray, only about 13 months old. She has a largeish scar on her back, unknown origin. Considering has been through what appears to be a rough period in her short life, only a baby, hasn't affected her temperament, is very sweet, gentle, affectionate, and attentive to the volunteers, not a jumpy type of doggie. Barlette has a very good sit, gives paw, takes treats gently. She has good leash tests with other dogs (male and female), but somewhat on the timid side. Please email to set up a meet and greet for this adorable, very good doggie, who deserves a life where she will never have further scarring to her body, nor her soul. Please. If want to see other wonderful dogs, besides Barlette, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, scroll down & click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come.
