URGENT - MEDICAL FOSTER NEEDED for DELLA within driving distance to STATESVILLE NC ***** Sweet, happy 1 y/o Shep/Lab mix Della found herself at the Gastonia shelter where she was brought in as a stray, and nobody came looking for her. Apparently, she was either kicked, hit by a car, or maybe even thrown from a car but she has a hip injury requiring surgery. Now she is slated for euthanasia because the Shelter is over full and she is past her deadline! All she needs to save her life is a compassionate Foster who is within driving distance to Statesville where she will have her surgery. Her aftercare requires simple, crate rest and some initial mobility assistance, possibly with a sling to help her go potty (she's only 45 pounds). It would be TRAGIC to see her story end at just ONE year old simply because she has a correctable injury needing surgery! Della is people/dog-friendly (cats unknown).
