When Lucy was picked up by an ACO, it was immediately clear that she had recently had puppies. Once we discovered she still had milk, we began to panic. A couple of volunteers went to the location where she was picked up to look for hungry puppies. After speaking with some neighbors, her puppies were found relatively quickly! Lucy was happy to be reunited with her pups, but she is now ready for her next adventure (and her hot-girl, spayed summer!). Lucy is the sweetest girl, and she is a wonderful mom. All but one of her puppies have been adopted. She has loved everyone she has met, and she would make a wonderful companion for anyone-- even the first time owner. Name: Lucy Sex: Female (Intact) Age (Approx.): 3 years Weight: 44lbs Vaccines: Rabies Intake Date: 05/19/2026 Sorry for the late response. Lucy is a great dog! She loves all people and animals. She walks well on leash and is an amazing car rider. I do not believe she is a barker. Most of the dogs at the shelter are, so it is hard to tell who is not. I can not picture Lucy as an 'instigator', however. She is relatively calm. She does not play rough with other dogs- she is more neutral. She is a bit 'in your face' in the sense that she thinks she's a lap dog lol, but she is not jumpy or 'annoying'. I think she would be a good fit for an older family.
