About Gracie

Gracie is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and listens well. She enjoys being outside with you and does very well on a leash, but she is not a high-energy dog. Long walks, roughhousing, and endless games of fetch are not really her thing. She would much rather curl up on the couch beside you and be close to her people. She is wonderful with people and kids of all ages, other dogs, and even cats. She is especially sweet with puppies and kids. However, she does have a prey drive toward birds, including chickens, so a home with birds would not be a good fit. She is sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, so she would do best in a calmer, quieter home environment. She also has a short tolerance for rough or persistent play from other dogs and can become overwhelmed when another dog will not respect her space. She will get scared and try to hide. At the end of the day, she truly just wants a peaceful home where she feels safe, secure, loved, and included as part of the family.
