Ringo came to us back in December. He showed up at Tractor Supply in Floresville, and to avoid another dog going to the shelter, they called us to take him in, and we've been fostering him since. Ringo is a border collie/Australian shepherd mix, about 1 1/2 - 2 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines but is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. Ringo started his treatment May 11th and has been doing well so far. I'll be contacted our vet again soon to see what our next steps are with his treatment. Ringo is a sweet boy who loves to please his person but needs a job to keep him occupied. He's been exposed and around different sizes and ages of dogs and cats. We also have several horses on the property that he likes to chase back and forth through the fence. He definitely has the cattle dog drive in him. He knows basic commands like 'sit' 'down' 'come' 'kennel' and I'm working on expanding his basic commands. We want him to go to a good home, preferably one with land and space for him to run around and if they have a job for him to do, even better. * has not been exposed to kids - I believe he would do well so I did not want to select 'not good with kids'
