Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes, but she is Reactive and will bark initially until she warms up and feels comfortable. Loves: Outside time, having a job and purpose, chilling on the couch, playing with kids and dogs, balls, being near her person, bones, chew toys, and staying active. Important Behavior Notes: Scout struggles with anxiety in loud, chaotic environments. Resource Guards toys and bones, especially when outside children are visiting the home. Becomes overwhelmed with constant visitors, loud activity, and commotion. Her person (current Shepherd parent's husband) has been gone much more due to work, which has significantly increased her anxiety. Scout has NEVER had issues with the children she lives with. Her anxiety is specifically triggered by unfamiliar children frequently entering the home environment. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: Yes - on 2/1/26 Scout bit one of the children's friends on the hand. Current Shepherd Parent is unsure whether it occurred during play or if it was an intentional bite. Skin was broken, but no reports were filed and no action was taken. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: Scout is incredibly smart and driven. She is a beautiful dog! Completely house trained, we can leave her all day without issues. She also loves being outside and running on our property. z Re Homing because'|: Due to the incident and Scout's increasing anxiety, she is now crated whenever outside children come over - which is often, as the current Shepherd parents' home is the neighborhood 'hangout house' with constant visitors and sleepovers. The loud and busy environment is overwhelming for Scout and causing her significant stress. Current Shepherd Parent feels Scout deserves a calmer environment where she can relax and feel secure. Scout's person is also now working much more and being away from home frequently, which has added to her anxiety. They feel rehoming is truly in Scout's best interest so she can thrive peacefully. Will thrive best'|?: In a calm, structured home with limited visitors and minimal outside children constantly coming and going. She would do best with someone experienced, patient, and understanding of anxious shepherd behaviors who can provide consistency, structure, and stability. Comes with: Collar, leash, crate, food, toys, heartworm medication, flea/tick prevention, and AKC papers. RehomingFee $175 . If not on Facebook, please text me for more pics and full Profile.
