Meet Joy Foster or adopter needed as soon as possible. After spending an entire year in a home, Joy has sadly found herself back in boarding through no fault of her own. Changes in the household led to conflicts between the dogs in the home, and it became clear that the situation was no longer the right fit for long-term success. Now, the only home Joy knew is gone, and she is trying to adjust to life back in a kennel. Joy is 3.5 years old and weighs 52 pounds. She is a loving, loyal, affectionate dog who continues to greet people with a happy spirit despite the challenges she has faced. One important thing to know about Joy is that she successfully lived with another dog for an entire year without issues. She has also participated in dog playgroups and was known for her easygoing, social nature around other dogs. Shelter staff described her as a happy bundle of joy who is highly food motivated and eager to earn affection. Joy loves belly rubs, butt scratches, and spending time with her people. She knows basic commands, enjoys learning, and is eager to please. Most of all, she wants a family to love and a place where she belongs. Boarding is not where Joy can thrive long term. She had a home, a routine, and people she loved. Now she is back in a kennel waiting for someone to give her another chance. Joy is looking for a foster or forever home where she can regain the stability and comfort she deserves. If you can help by fostering, adopting, or sharing her story, please reach out. A simple share could be the connection that changes her life.
