This incredible dog was wandering the streets of Cancun, skinny and alone. He was so friendly and approachable, he captured the attention of numerous tourists, one of which made contact with our organization, which set the plan in motion to rescue him. With the help of more tourists, he was secured and taken to the vet. He has spent the last year recovering from his ordeal at the shelter (private home) in Cancun but has recently made the journey to Lake Tahoe to find his forever place. He really is exceptional. Well behaved, friendly, good on leash and off. In fact, he rarely ventures far from my heels when we walk in the forest. He is about 40 pounds, we think he is about 3. He's vaxed, chipped, neutered and certified healthy. He rarely, if ever, barks! He is such a good dog. I feel very lucky to be his foster. He and one other dog made the journey by plane from Cancun to LA, where I met them at the airport and we drove from LA to Lake Tahoe. It was two days of travel and he did great. I did not even crate him in the car, although they were secured with a seat belt/leash to ensure their safety. You will be very lucky to adopt this dog! Someone in Cancun actually took a video of him on a busy Cancun street that went viral. He captured a lot of attention! He was very skinny and needed a couple of months to come back to health but he is ready now to be loved and cherished and call a family his home.
