About Jetty

Meet Jetty! This playful, energetic 14 month old is everything we love about the boxer breed, in XL size! He is 93 pounds of pure love, goofiness and a side of slobber! Jetty lives with an older boxer that finds his exuberant energy a bit overrated. Since Jetty can't convince his housemate to play with him, he likes to burn off his energy with a neighborhood canine friend. His size and bark can be intimidating but Jetty is an oversized friendly baby that means well. Fetch is one of Jetty's favorite games and he is a master at a hide and seek variation of the game. You throw the ball and while he goes to get it, you hide and he comes and finds you with the ball. When he isn't playing, he prefers to be with his person, involved in whatever activity is occurring, whether it be cooking dinner, watching a game, hanging out outside, going camping or just a simple car ride. Jetty disregards his size and enjoys being IN your lap or as close as possible to you on the couch-this was acceptable in his previous home, so some training and correcting may be necessary if he seems a little too up close and personal. Jetty is house and crate trained, though he prefers the crate to be referred to as his 'house.' Just don't forget the treat when it's time for the crate! He is well mannered with quite a few commands under his belt: Sit, Down, Out(to leave a room/area), House(to go in his crate) and with his huge desire to please, he would likely catch on to more training and commands quickly! He is a sweet boy with kids, but is a big kid himself, so supervision around littles is important due to his size. Jetty is looking for a family that is active and willing to engage and stimulate his young boxer energy and in return he will repay you with lots of love, laughs and slobbery kisses!
