For adoption. Female German Shepard. Star is a very quiet and gentle German Shepherd. She rarely barks and enjoys long walks, especially first thing after she wakes up-sometimes after you do. She is a house dog but will happily spend time outside if she has access to a backyard. She loves chasing balls and toys, though she'll tease you instead of fully returning them. She'll bring you toys and gently poke you with them when she wants to play. When she wants affection, she'll rest her head on your arm and stand beside you. Star does not get on furniture or beds; she has her own. She will not wake you in the morning-she considers that unladylike. She enjoys an evening walk every night to do her business. She is very gentle with other animals, especially smaller ones, and would thrive in a home with children or other dogs to play with. She understands simple commands such as 'Down,' 'No,' her name, and 'Lay down.' Star is a healthy weight. She does not swim but can catch balls and loves scratches and snacks. Her only medical concern is occasional skin irritation from allergies. She is bathed four times a month, and applying balm to her hot spots is helpful during fall and winter. As part of her adoption, I will cover the cost of her spaying and updated vaccinations.
