Deadline Dog: Hachi Needs Out Now 6/26/26 4:00 PM Meet Hachi (A288832) At just 2 years old, this handsome 80-pound Shepherd Mix should be spending his days playing fetch, exploring the world, and soaking up attention from his people-not struggling behind kennel walls. Hachi came to PCACC as a stray and has shown everyone what a lovable, fun-loving dog he is. He adores people, loves attention, and never turns down a game of ball. He has also been friendly with other dogs, though he will need slow introductions as he continues building his social skills. Like many young, energetic shepherds, the stress and confinement of shelter life have become overwhelming for Hachi. The kennel environment has caused him significant distress, leading to constant pacing, barking, spinning, and vocalizing. This is not who Hachi is-it's a dog desperately telling us he needs a chance to live outside a kennel. Hachi is looking for an active home committed to helping him succeed. He would benefit from structure, exercise, continued training, and guidance from a qualified trainer to help him learn boundaries and life skills. His dream playmate? A large female shepherd who enjoys wrestling, running, and playing chase in the yard. Most importantly, Hachi needs a place to decompress and finally be a dog again.
