Meet Ellie, a gorgeous 3-year-old Boxer who is ready to find the forever family she truly deserves. When Ellie first arrived in our care, she was incredibly skinny and clearly had been let down by humans. Today, she is blossoming! She has found her fantastic appetite, is beautifully putting on weight, and is learning what it feels like to be safe. Here is what makes Ellie so special: The Ultimate Welcoming Committee: Whether you've been gone for a work day or just 5 minutes, Ellie will greet you with pure exuberance. Her nubby tail goes 100 miles an hour, her whole butt wiggles, and she does the most adorable 'crab walk' to show you how much you were missed. Social & Sweet: She is great with everyone she meets, good with other dogs, loves a good playtime session, and is wonderful with children. She is even good around horses! She will chase cats so no cats for this girl. Car Rides & Quiet Strolls: Ellie is a big fan of car rides and loves going for leash walks in quiet neighborhoods or parks. Ellie's Perfect Match: Because of her past, Ellie needs a family willing to work slowly to build her trust. She can be easily startled by loud noises; if she hears a loud bang outside, she will quickly run back into the house for safety. Because traffic noises can intimidate her, she prefers walks away from busy streets. Ellie's dream home includes a secure backyard where she can safely burn off her energy with some epic zoomies, and a family ready to give her the patience, love, and stability she has been waiting for.
