About Duke-FOSTER Needed NOW

URGENT need for a foster parent for handsome Duke, through a rescue org.!!! Can also foster to adopt through it. Shepherds are at an increased risk of being euthanized when the shelter, Chicago Animal Care and Control, gets over-capacity. The shelter has a policy of mostly not offering purebred Shepherds up for adoption. Duke is only rescue due to this policy, therefore chance of making it out of there is even more decreased! The rescue orgs. that are taking foster/foster to adopt applications for Duke are: German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. if live in Chicagoland area/parts of Indiana(gsrescue1.org) and Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue if in Wisconsin/Northern Illinois(www.mlgsdr.com). Sharing the following from the rescue org. that is taking applications: Owner surrender because cousin passed away and can't keep dog. Duke is estimated to be 1-2 years old. Is a bit timid at first but warms up fairly quickly. Loves food and knows sit and down. Playful on his dog tests (first round was more reserved).
