About Journey: She is a 2.5-year-old Blue Heeler/American Bulldog mix weighing about 50 pounds. She's the definition of a gentle soul-quiet, affectionate, and happiest simply being near her people. While she can be a little shy when meeting new folks, she warms up quickly and forms deep bonds with those who show her kindness. This sweet girl doesn't ask for much. If you're in the room, she's content to curl up on her bed, chew on a toy, and enjoy your company. She loves kisses, snuggles, and will occasionally transform herself into the tiniest little ball just to fit in your lap. Journey is incredibly smart, too. She knows 'sit,' comes when called, listens well, and is both house-trained and crate-trained. She's food motivated, eager to learn, and ready to be someone's loyal best friend. Journey would do best as the only pet in the home, though she has successfully spent time with larger, confident dogs. She's never been around cats. After a year of waiting, Journey deserves to know what it feels like to belong to someone. She deserves a home, a family, and a future filled with love.
