He loves back scratches and ear scrubs and will lean in close for them. He has beautiful pointy ears and soft clean fur. He looks to have been cared for yet no one bothered to look for him. A note from Draco's temporary foster: This neutered male German Shepherd is estimated to be around 8 years old and is truly a gentle giant at heart. He's well-mannered, house-broken, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household. He loves his toys - especially half-deflated basketballs - and enjoys both playtime and quiet moments. When he's not playing, he's a devoted couch snuggler who's convinced he's smaller than he actually is and happily leans in for affection. On walks, he may start out with a burst of excitement and some pulling, but after a minute or two he settles and walks nicely on leash. He's eager to please and responds well to gentle guidance. This sweet boy can be a little sensitive and may startle easily, especially around men. When he's frightened, he may submissively urinate, so he'll do best in a calm, patient home where he's given time and reassurance to build confidence. With kindness and consistency, he continues to make progress and shows how loving and loyal he truly is. He does have megaesophagus, a manageable medical condition that requires upright feeding and a consistent routine. With proper care, he's been doing well and continues to thrive. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate shepherd who will reward patience with unwavering loyalty (and plenty of oversized cuddles), this special boy may be the perfect addition to your family
