About Jasper

* 7 month old Labrador Retriever mix * weighs 29 pounds * not yet neutered but he will be * heartworm negative * brought in as stray * overwhelmed in the shelter environment but he's learning to trust and welcomes attention * enjoys gentle pets * loves treats; you can win him over with them Jasper is very overwhelmed in the shelter, it can be a scary place for some dogs. He lays behind his bed as close to the wall as he can. The noisy environment with all the loud barking and unfamiliar faces are overwhelming. Jasper welcomes you into his space for pets and comfort. He is a beautiful pup and may act shy at first but once he feels safe he doesn't mind your attention. There is not a mean bone in his body. A fellow volunteer spent time sitting with him and Jasper was happy for the love and comfort he was given. Jasper wants to please, welcomes your pets, and loves treats. He wants to love and trust, he just needs a little time and the chance to show you what a good boy he is. Come take him home and give him some much needed loved.
