About Alpha has till 6/6!!

URGENT!!!! ALPHA (#A2254063), LAST DAY TO PULL: Saturday June 6! EUTHANASIA DATE: Sunday June 7! AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER, ADOPTION OR RESCUE! Alpha, first & well named, for he is truly an unbridled, magnificent shepherd. Strong, bold & exuberant. Alpha was adopted in April & we celebrated his freedom. But his adopter returned him mid May, stating that he was too 'hyper' for her. Alpha is still a puppy. It is joyous to watch him in the play yard. He runs around with zoomies, eagerly plays ball, & loves a kiddie pool (he needs a very large kiddie pool!!!) He also loves people. He sits nicely for treats & is always ready to impress you with his paw trick. He'll even switch paws to show off! And yes-happy to sit at your feet & enjoy petting. But in playgroups, Alpha is selective and does best with female dogs. He can be playful with social dogs, but he doesn't get it when other dogs don't want to match his rough style & correct him. Although his playgroup notes have much improved since his return to shelter, the shelter has put him back on the euthanasia list for his behavior with dogs. Alpha needs a home where he can play & where someone will appreciate his exuberant spirit. Given Alpha's size & strength, probably best to start Alpha as the only dog in the house. If we lose Alpha, we lose true beauty. We lose joy. And we lose a dog that is young & magnificent, a dog that should have many years ahead as a beloved companion.
