Benji's story: At the shelter in Los Angeles, Benji found himself in a tough spot; the shelter couldn't administer his seizure meds, and he was getting sick. Volunteers rushed him to the vet. Benji is now safely in foster. He is back on meds and getting better every day. Benji has delighted his foster parents with his gentle demeanor towards humans and all dogs, and his strange fascination with cars. He likes watching TV, walks with his foster siblings, and sleeping on his comfy bed. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and an easy-going gentleman, though he is an expert in the art of 'side eye'. In the past several weeks, he's been to the park (which he loved), been professionally groomed (he was on the fence about that one) and learned to play with his foster siblings (albeit awkwardly). He loves 'helping out' in the kitchen and is always curious about new foods. He's a perfect work from home buddy but does absolutely fine lounging on his bed alone. His foster parents think Benji's previous life was very small. He has callouses on his elbows from lying on hard surfaces, and can be shy with new people. His foster mom says he pulls on the leash so he will need leash training or someone with strong knees. Everyday, Benji learns the world is bigger and more exciting than he ever knew. As soon as he is neutered, he will be ready for his forever home. He has not had any seizures since getting back on his meds. His seizures are a manageable condition, he just needs a responsible home, preferably with husky experience. A family who wants to introduce Benji to the finer things in life. Someone who will never let him go.
