About HANK

Adoption Fee: $500
Cairn mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

HANK is an 18 month old, 13.5 pound Terrier mix who was found as a stray. When no one came for him, his finder reached out to see if we could take him in to find him a new home. HANK is full of personality, energy, and affection. He is a funny little guy who can go from cuddling in your lap one minute to finding some sort of puppy mischief the next. He is very affectionate, loves to give kisses, and once he trusts you, he becomes extremely loyal and protective of his people. He loves attention, and would do best with a family that enjoys an active, involved little companion. HANK does well with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another playful canine companion, although he could potentially be an only dog with enough attention and activity. His foster is unsure how he would do with cats. He can be possessive if you try to take food or a toy away from him quickly, so we think he would be best in a child-free home or with older kids. He is social, outgoing, and not particularly shy or skittish. HANK is housebroken and leash trained. He does struggle with some separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home where someone is around often. He loves toys and enjoys staying busy. A fenced yard is required for this active boy. At night, HANK sleeps in bed with his foster family. HANK is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt, you must first submit an adoption application for review.
