Her family has received a termination of tenancy notice and is being forced to move. Unfortunately, the only housing they have been able to secure does not allow pets. They are currently paying for two residences just to buy Brisa a little more time to find a family before she loses her place to stay. Brisa is a large, lovable girl weighing approximately 80-95 pounds. She is scheduled to be **spayed and brought up to date on vaccinations on June 4, 2026**, so she will be ready for her next chapter. At just a year old, she still has plenty of youthful enthusiasm but has a wonderfully balanced temperament. She loves people and is especially happy when someone stops to pet her. Whether it's men, women, or children, Brisa greets everyone with excitement and affection. She may bark when visitors arrive, but it's simply her way of asking for attention and making new friends. Around children she is gentle, playful, and happy to be included. Brisa knows several commands including **sit, stay, down, come, paw, sit pretty, and look**. She is leash trained, potty trained, and enjoys spending time outdoors. One of her favorite activities is playing with water. She also loves finding hidden treats, munching on carrots, and amusing herself by playing with her food before eating it. She gets along with some dogs and has lived around cats. While she generally does well with them, she may chase if they run, so careful introductions and supervision are recommended. She can be protective of food and toys, but she has never bitten anyone and has a naturally submissive personality. Brisa would do best in a home with a yard where she has room to stretch her legs and enjoy life. Apartments are not a good fit for her size and lifestyle. What she truly wants is a family who will include her in their lives and give her the stability she deserves. Brisa is not in rescue because of behavior issues. She is losing her home because of circumstances completely outside her control.
