About Meeko

URGENT! MUST EXIT LOCAL SHELTER 4PM, SUNDAY 6/7/26 - LOS ANGELES. **ADORABLE, MEEKO**, is the shelter's longest resident. He came in as a stray after being picked up in Watts projects where he lived on the street and was cared for by a kind resident couple. His life was not easy and now, sadly, may end at the shelter. Meeko loves walks, is great on leash, knows his sit/down/come commands, and enjoys a good game of fetch. He has a rough & rowdy play style in shelter playgroups and can be selective so proper introductions are key. Meeko has been on furry field trips, is great in the car, potty trained, and crate trained. He is treat motivated and listens well, making him highly trainable. Meeko can be jumpy so best in a home without small children. Meeko is struggling in the shelter environment and desperately needs out! **He needs an experienced owner who will provide structure, routine, boundaries, leadership, and regular exercise and mental stimulation.** This loving, freckled boy has amazing potential and will blossom and thrive in the right home.
