About Carlita

Carlita is a ACD also known as Blue Heeler/ Black and tan with white patch on forehead and white highlights through body. She is a very spunky, energetic girl who loves to play fetch! She is a rescue dog that has been with us 2 months. She gets along good with older kids but does nip at heels/feet and when she's in energetic mood she does play bite. So not good with our younger grandkids that we babysit. We feel Carlita would do great on farm or ranch. She needs more outdoor space to roam and have a job to do. She does have a loving, cuddly side and loves to get petted,too. Very protective of us. Great at killing rodents. She has killed 3 opposums since being with us. She loves being with us and wants to play all the time. She plays some with our 3 year old lab but does play a bit rough at times. Our dog has been an only dog with only a couple of play dates, so she's not a fan of playing rough. She does nip some when playing, so needs a firm human. She's a good dog but not a good fit for us as we watch young grandkids who she wants to 'herd' and play nip at times. She also requires extensive play 2 to 3 times a day.
