Meet Dent !! Is there anything happier than a Jack Russell puppy?!. He is the sweetest boy. He has a very playful and fun personality with a side of cuddle bug mixed in. He's very energetic and absolutely not a lap dog. We keep hearing we should have named him two face, but look again, we kinda already did.... Dent is an approx 8 week old male. He is supposed to be full Jack Russell Terrier. He currently weighs approximately 5 pounds. He should remain smaller in size full grown. He will be neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines as part of his adoption. He is on monthly preventions. Dent is basically a wild and crazy puppy. He's fun loving and very active. He's super sweet and has two modes, Play and Sleep. He is very smart and picks up on things quickly. He is still working on his puppy training but he tries his best to be a good boy. He has been great on car rides. He is not yet leash trained. He's been doing good with his crate training. He can get a little whiny at times but he's learning. He is sleeping in the crate at night. He's not potty trained at all yet. Dent has done well with other dogs. He's spunky and happy to play with them. He can be annoying to dogs that don't like a playful puppy bouncing all over them. He hasn't been around cats so we aren't sure how he would do. He is young and may learn but Jack Russells were bred to hunt rodents so prey drive is common with them. He's been great with kids so far. He loves to play with them. He does still have very sharp puppy teeth and does a lot of chewing on hands when playing. He also jumps all over people. These things may not work well with tiny kids but he also needs someone to keep training him so he can stop those behaviors. He is still just a baby himself and learning. Dent has a medium to high energy level. He loves to play and run with other dogs. He absolutely loves being outside. He's a very spunky fun dog. He loves to be with you and on the go. He absolutely has to have a family that understands puppy energy and has time to keep him busy. This energy level will likely continue throughout his entire life. The breed can be a busy one and needs a more active family. He is not likely going to be a lap dog although he does enjoy some good cuddle time when he is tired. He has not had any trouble sharing treats toys or bones with people. He loves toys and if you leave plenty out he has done good so far choosing them over other things to chew on. He is a puppy so he does need to be watched. If you're looking for a little guy that has a ton of personality and an adventurous attitude, then he may be the one!! Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your family's lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA.
