About FLOWER

FLOWER is a 7-month-old, 9 and 1/2 pound Chihuahua Yorkie mix who was surrendered because her owner was no longer able to care for her. FLOWER is a very sweet and loving little girl who is still learning that the world is a safe place. She has not been in foster care very long and can be shy and timid at first, but she absolutely loves being close to her person. Her favorite place is curled up beside you on the couch. FLOWER gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and loves to play with her foster siblings. She would do best with another small dog her size who can help build her confidence and enjoy gentle playtime with her. She would also love a family to give her extra love, patience, and encouragement while she continues coming out of her shell. We do not know how she would be with cats or kids but think older children who are familiar with small dogs would be okay. FLOWER is still working on potty training. She will go outside when encouraged and already knows how to use the dog door. Because she is still a little timid we would prefer that she has a home with a fenced yard to give her some security as she gains confidence. She also knows how to use the steps to get on the couch and bed. She enjoys playing with toys, balls, and chew sticks when she feels comfortable enough to relax and have fun. At night, FLOWER loves sleeping cuddled up right beside her person in bed. FLOWER is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Important - check your spam folder for follow up questions and responses from our team. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola). We do not ship or transport our dogs.
