Rescues get daily calls for dogs in need. We wish we could take them all. Often, senior dogs are immediately euthanized when surrendered to the shelter. Sophie is the perfect example of a dog who rarely makes it out of the shelter. Our rescue could not look away on Sophie. Her owner passed and no one in the family wanted her. She was dumped at the shelter as a senior. Sophie is a brown, female, terrier who weighs 22lbs. We do not know about her life before us, but her skin is awful, her nails curled and she demonstrates signs of long time neglect. Despite losing her owner, Sophie's tail never stops wagging. It wags slow, but her heart is full of love. She follows her foster mom's around the house and through the yard. Sophie is no trouble. She is quiet and grateful for the love and safety in her life. This girl is such a sweet baby. Can you help us find Sophie a soft place to live her senior years. Adoption fee $200
