About Charlie

Are you a homebody? 13 year old Charlie is looking for you! Charlie enjoys constant companionship with people. He is sweet, affectionate and loves attention. At home with his people, he is quiet but leave him alone and he will bark non-stop. His separation anxiety is not destructive, just noisy. Other things about Charlie: He is good with cats and generally unsure about other dogs. He is a good sleeper, well house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He is not a chewer. Charlie is not a fan of car rides - he is anxious in the car and barks. Charlie has quite severe hearing loss and poor recall, probably due to a combination of not hearing well and Basset stubbornness!! He has limits to his mobility (stairs are hard) but doing well on present medications, he enjoys leisurely walks and he tries hard with encouragement.
