We are looking to rehome our 1-year-old, 30 lb heeler/goldendoodle mix to the right home. He is very smart, active, and has a lot of energy. He is house broken, does well in a kennel when we are not home, is current on shots, and neutered. He has been good with adults and other dogs overall, but he has shown resource guarding behavior specifically involving our young daughter around food/bones, including biting. Because we have a small child in the home, we feel it is safest and best to find him a different environment where he can succeed. He would likely do best with experienced dog owners and in a home without small children. He is not a bad dog at all. He needs structure, consistency, training, and an environment that can properly manage his behavior and energy level. We want to be fully honest and make sure he goes to the right fit because we do care about him and want the best possible home for him.
