About Finn

Finn is a lively 4-year-old Golden Retriever (DOB: 1/22/2022). Inside the home, he is generally calm and spends much of his day lounging, but he also loves to play and be involved with his family. He is both crate trained and potty trained. When told 'crate,' he will go right in, and we use the command 'free' for crate release, going outside, and meal release. He has good manners around food and will wait patiently while you prepare his meals. Finn is very loyal and protective of his family. He does bark when someone comes onto the property. While he does well ignoring people and other dogs during walks, we do want to be fully transparent that we are unsure how he would do in a home with children. He can play rough with our own kids and has growled at unfamiliar children, so we feel he would do best in a home without young children or with someone experienced and willing to use caution and proper introductions. Unsure of how he would be around cats? He would thrive with an active owner who can continue giving him structure, exercise, and consistency. He loves to go camping and go on hikes and would fit in well with someone who can do that for him. Asking for a rehoming fee as well as vet reference, he's a good boy and I need to know he will be well cared for.
