About Zorro

Zorro is a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd who has spent his entire life in a loving home, and it shows. He is a happy, energetic, and deeply loyal companion who is remarkably in tune with the emotions of the people he loves. For the right person, he would be an extraordinary friend and devoted protector. We want to be fully transparent, because Zorro deserves a home that truly understands him. He is an anxious and fearful dog by nature, and that anxiety can surface around unfamiliar houseguests, particularly men he hasn't met, as well as young children and some other dogs. With the arrival of our toddler, we have reached the difficult and heartbreaking conclusion that we can no longer give him the environment he needs to thrive. We are looking for an experienced dog owner, ideally someone without young children, who understands fear-based behavior and has the patience and calm to help Zorro feel safe. In return, you will have a dog who is fiercely devoted, emotionally intuitive, and full of love for his person. Rehoming Zorro is one of the hardest things we have ever done. We love him deeply, and our only goal is finding him a home where he can live out his years feeling safe, understood, and cherished.
