Special consideration & mileage requirements may vary for experienced Cavalier adopters. Brook was turned over to animal contract by someone that says they 'found her'. Ok, we will go with that but she was underweight, severely matted, and many sores on her body. After being shaved of all her massive knots (one alone weighed 4 lbs), this girl showed she is the sweetest girl and just wants someone to love her. We are uncertain of an actual age for Brook but with the help from several doctors, we estimate her to be about 5 years old. She is fully vetted, healthy and has even been to the cardiologist for an echo with results showing heart clear. If you are not familiar with the cavalier breed, do your research about them. Brook walks on a harness and leash and does fairly well but still needs some basic training. She does not require a fenced yard but if you have one, it must be a physical fence and is must be secure. This means no openings at the bottom half to the ground. Aluminum type fence must have chicken wire or something of the sort to close the spacing as Brook would be able to get through them. She is good with other dogs her size, humans of all ages including respectful little ones, and unsure about cats. Brook is a typical cavalier and wants to be with the humans. She may not know what toys and such are but she will do anything with her humans including sitting on their lap to watch TV. If you think your family may be a good fit for Brook, follow instructions at the beginning of her bio to submit an application.
