%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD Sammie Is Looking for Her Forever Family %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD Not long ago, little Sammie was terrified of the world. When she first arrived in rescue, she was afraid of almost everything. She would cower when someone entered the room, hide whenever she felt uncertain, and was even afraid to walk down two small steps. It was clear that life had not always been kind to this tiny girl. But oh, what a difference love can make. Today, Sammie is blossoming into the happy, playful, affectionate little dog she was always meant to be. At just about a year old and 10 pounds, this sweet girl has discovered that people can be trusted, toys are wonderful, and life is meant to be enjoyed. Sammie absolutely adores playtime. Fetch is one of her favorite games, and if nobody is available to throw a toy for her, she'll happily toss it into the air herself and chase after it. She keeps herself entertained with her silly puppy antics and has a way of making everyone around her smile. She also has a softer side. Sammie is a true love bug who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working around the house, or settling in for the night, she'll be right there beside you. In fact, Sammie firmly believes that bedtime means snuggling up in bed with her favorite humans. She's made tremendous progress in foster care and has learned to walk on a leash, ride nicely in the car, and is doing very well with her potty training. She gets along wonderfully with her foster dog siblings and would love a home with another playful dog who can help burn off some of her puppy energy. Because Sammie can still be a little skittish when startled, a securely fenced yard is preferred. She may occasionally react with a quick nip when frightened, so she is looking for a home with children over the age of 10 who can respect her space and help her continue building confidence. Sammie is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She can stay in a crate for short periods when necessary, although she'd much rather be spending time with her people. This little girl has come so far. All that's missing now is a family of her own-someone who will continue showing her that the world is a safe place and that she will never have to be afraid again. Could Sammie be the missing piece in your family? For more information or to request an adoption application, please contact her foster mom at [email protected].
