Through tears I am writing this post to look for a good, loving home for my buddy Jolyne. Jolyne is a purebred, 2-year-old Bloodhound and is one of the friendliest dogs I know. She never meets a stranger, she loves to give big hugs and kisses and sit in my lap with all 100 lbs of herself. She also loves to play with other dogs and enjoys going to the dog park to wrestle and run her heart out. She loves to ride in the car with me with her long ears blowing in the wind and smell all the smells along the road. She is a giant goofball who loves to flop around and fall down on purpose and she always makes me smile with her antics. She is also crate trained. Unfortunately, I have an autoimmune condition called Sjogren's Syndrome that attacks my connective tissue, joints, and tendons, and while I try to stay in shape, when my illness flares up I become very weak physically. Jolyne is an athlete, and she would probably do very well as a working dog. If she does not get at least 3-4 hours of exercise and ample opportunity to sniff around and explore, she becomes bored and destructive. When I am having an illness flare up I just cannot provide all the physical and mental stimulation a young Bloodhound needs, and Jolyne ends up in her crate for the better part of the day. It's not fair to her, and I want her to live an exciting life that matches up with her energy needs. It breaks my heart to have to find her a new home. I love this dog. She is incredible, and deserves someone who is good with hounds who can help her reach her full potential. A small rehoming fee would apply to make sure she goes to someone serious. I am also offering Free Dogsitting For Life with her for local adopters, as I am devastated by having to do this and would love to be able to hang out with my pal again. I will also provide her huge crate and favorite rug.
