About CALLIE

Pit Bull mix
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Name: Callie Age: 11 or 12 years Breed: Pit Mix (owner is unsure of mix, about 60 pounds) Sex: Female (spayed per owner) Location: Campbell County TN Callie has been with her owner's family since she was a puppy. Her current owner has had her for three years and is no longer able to care for her. She is hoping to find Callie a loving home or rescue where she can have the life she deserves. Vet Info: Callie is spayed per her owner, but is not up to date with vaccines and has not had a recent heartworm test. She is not on preventative. Dog Info: Callie is an indoor dog with run of the house, although some rooms are gated off. She is leash trained and housebroken for the most part, but may potty if she's left alone all day. Callie's owner tells us Callie is a friendly girl and is good with people of all ages, and male and female dogs. She was not good with cats when she had sight, but it's unknown how she'd be with cats now that she's blind. She lives with a small female dog and is fine with her. Per her owner, Callie is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never shown aggression. Callie's owner feels Callie adapts well to new situations despite being blind. She says that Callie does really well at home and knows where she's going. Callie appears completely blind per her owner. The cause is unknown, but her eyes appear somewhat blue and occasionally her eyes run. Callie's owner also notes Callie has bladder leakage and sometimes sits in her poop. Other than this, Callie seems to be healthy. Callie's owner wants us to know what a sweet girl she is! She loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs. She loves eating and drinking and sleeping in her bed. She's also a good girl for her baths. Callie rarely barks, and, 'she likes everybody!' **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
