About Penny Lane

A close friend of mine adopted a cattle dog mix a few years ago. She is turning five this year and is a very sweet dog named Penny Lane. Due to changes in my friend's circumstances, including having two children, she is no longer able to give Penny the care and attention she needs. She's honestly not a dog person and it just makes me sad to see Patty. Not getting the love and support that she needs. I would take her in myself since she is from the same litter as my dog, but they do not get along and I live in a studio, so it is not a good fit. Penny is a high energy dog who needs more exercise and engagement than she is currently getting. I have been trying to find her a home for months without success and have reached out to close friends and relatives, but have not been able to place her. She is great with people and has grown up around children. She can be selective with other dogs and does not always get along with them. I have attached a photo of her from a few years ago. She has gained some weight since then due to not getting as much outdoor time. She is the white and brown spotted dog in the photo, and my dog is the full brown dog. We are hoping to find a foster or rescue option where she can be supported and eventually placed in a loving home. My friend is willing to care for her until a placement is found. We are trying to avoid taking her to a shelter due to concerns about her well being. I would be happy to share additional information if needed.
