Louisiana is known for the kill shelters and sadly this pup was placed in one. Another victim of a selfish human Today Artemis is still waiting. She already had a family, and even went through training while she was with them, but when they moved, she was the part of their life they decided not to take with them, and now she is sitting in a shelter at barely a year old after losing everything familiar to her all at once. What makes it sadder is that she is genuinely a really good dog. During training with Deridder Dog Training Studio they described her as social, sweet, and genuinely fun to work with, and the more comfortable Artemis became, the more expressive and socially connected she got. Once she settled in, she did great with the other dogs there, kept her kennel clean, loved learning, and clearly enjoyed interacting with the people around her. She is 36 lbs of pure joy! She has lived with cats and children before and is housebroken Artemis is still extremely young and honestly just deserves better than ending up abandoned in a shelter after already being somebody's dog. ZHer adopters will receive a free lesson to learn everything she already knows.Z Just call 337-226-5083 Vernon Parish Animal Shelter located at 272 J. L. O'Banion Rd, Leesville, LA 71446. Phone 1 337-392-9613 Or Ewenity can bring her to Florida if we get a foster/adopter.
