About Priscilla

Location: Maineville, OH Priscilla is a 4-year-old female American Eskimo looking for a home where she can continue building confidence and learning how to simply be a dog. She came to us from a puppy mill surrender situation, but despite that background, Priscilla is incredibly sweet and much more social than many dogs from similar environments. She loves other dogs, has done well with cats, and enjoys quietly following her people around once she feels comfortable. Priscilla is crate trained, has kept her kennel clean here, and has overall been very easy to care for. She's also wonderful for grooming and handling - brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, baths, all no problem. Which is impressive considering she resembles a sentient cotton ball. Her biggest area of growth right now is leash walking. New environments can still make her nervous, and she sometimes freezes when overwhelmed. But once she settles in, she learns quickly and is very willing to work through it with gentle encouragement. Priscilla would do best in a patient home willing to continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. Another friendly dog in the home would likely help her tremendously as she absolutely loves canine companionship.
