I am looking to rehome my 7-year-old American Staffy, Kleo. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but she is not comfortable around my one-year-old son, and it is no longer safe to keep them in the same home. Kleo is very sweet, affectionate, and loves adults - she just does not do well with young children. She would do best in a calm, child-free home as the only pet. We adopted Kleo from a shelter after she had been found as a severely malnourished stray. Because of that, she is very food motivated and will happily help clean up any dropped snacks. She uses a slow feeder bowl to prevent her from eating too quickly. She may also try to investigate the trash can if given the opportunity. Kleo is crate trained and knows several commands including sit, shake, lay down, and jump. She has a calm demeanor overall, aside from the occasional happy zoomies. She loves squeaky balls, giving kisses, and staying close to the people she loves. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and takes a monthly heart worm pill. She takes Proin twice a day to prevent her from having accidents while sleeping. I can provide all her vet records. She deserves a peaceful home where she can feel comfortable and thrive. I am heartbroken to let her go, but I know this is the best decision for both Kleo and my son.
