About Ludo

We're looking to rehome our sweet dog, Ludo. He's a 7-year-old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix with a loving personality and so much affection to give. Ludo has been struggling with severe allergies that have caused fur loss on his paws and face, along with painful sores from excessive scratching (which is why he's wearing a cone). We've worked closely with multiple vets over a long period of time and have tried treatments including Cytopoint and Apoquel, but unfortunately nothing has brought him lasting relief. Apoquel also worsened recurring yeast issues, which made him even more uncomfortable. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our family. We love Ludo deeply and have done everything we can to help him, but with two young children and limited time and financial resources, we've come to the heartbreaking realization that he may have a better quality of life with someone who has more capacity to manage his ongoing medical needs. We are hoping to find Ludo a patient, compassionate home where he can receive the care and attention he deserves. He's a sweet boy who still has so much love left to give, and our biggest wish is for him to be comfortable, cared for, and happy.
