About Jacob

Hi, I'm Jacob - but my foster mom calls me Curly Q, because my tail curls into a perfect little Q! I'm a 12-year-old tricolor Shih Tzu boy, and I am here to tell you that the good life is ALL about lap time, belly rubs, and a little rump scratch. I do sport an adorable permanent wink - my right eye had to be removed due to some serious issues but it's all healed up. My remaining eye has a cataract but I can still see some, and my hearing? Absolutely excellent. I know my name AND exactly when the treat bag comes out. I'm a peaceful, laid-back gentleman who takes life at a gentle pace. I walk nicely on a leash (we just keep things slow and scenic), and I am never picky about food. At a mighty 8 pounds, I'm perfectly portable and I think I would do well around other dogs, cats and older, dog-savvy kids. I do best with someone home most of the day and thrive on a regular schedule. I may need a little male wrap overnight, but otherwise my house manners are great.
