About Linda

Linda was rescued from the Redlands in Miami Florida- a popular dumping ground for animals. She was spotted living in the streets eating at rural cat feeding stations. PLAY! K9 Rescue took her in and she's being fostered in the St Pete area. Having her in the house it is clear that she is and was a wonderful loving pet. She's crate and potty trained. Dog, kid, and cat friendly. She eats well and enjoys being part of the family. During her first bath, we noticed that she had a strange growth in one of her mammary gland areas she is also showing early signs of hip dysplasia. We are pursuing CT scans and will further look into having the growth removed. Other than this slight hiccup- she is wonderful and loving. Loves to play and chase the ball. Loves to swing her booty into our other fosters to engage in play. A true gentle giant with lots of life left to live! Update: Linda was spayed and had her lumpectomy performed on June 1st. She is recovering nicely! The biopsy came back for the growth that was removed and it was benign. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long group training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home.
