About Jelly Bean

Hi there, I'm Jelly Bean! Although I've recently learned that some people also call me 'house hippo.' I'm still not entirely sure what a hippo is, but from what I understand they're cute, squishy, and enjoy lounging around... so I think I can accept this title. Life wasn't always soft couches and cozy naps though. I used to live out on the streets as a stray, and back then I had to figure things out on my own. Because of that, I can be a little shy when I first meet people. I like to take a minute to make sure everything feels safe. But once I decide you're one of my people? Oh, then you get to meet the real me. I'm curious about the world and love seeing what's going on around me. I enjoy exploring, going for walks, and being part of the fun. But I also take my professional couch companion duties very seriously. After all that hard work, a girl deserves a good nap beside her humans. I'm good with other dogs, crate trained, potty trained, and I'm doing really well with leash walking too! Every day I'm learning that the world can be a pretty wonderful place, and my confidence keeps growing. I think I'm ready for a home of my own now, one that will help me keep blooming into the dog I'm meant to be. And maybe one with blankets. Definitely blankets. Does that sound like you? I hope so!
