This is Bootie Girl or Bootie for short. She is one of 5 puppies that I rescued from my road that someone dumped them out on at the end of March. They were covered in fleas and malnourished with no other signs of neglect or abuse. I have had them for about a month and a half and they are now wormed and treated for fleas and ticks. I got their vaccinations on 5/24/2026 and their check up came back good with no problems found. They are probably a Catahoula or Cur mix, but I am not sure of their breed and neither was the vet. He did say that they would get to about 50 or 60 pounds and were about four months old though. I am trying to find them a good home that they will be loved in as I will not be able to take care of them in the long term. My family is having a lot of health problems and I already have one dog that I rescued from our road that I have taken in full time about two years ago. Bootie Girl is the sweetest and most submissive of the group, but also the most loving. She is very shy and bashful, but she is the most attached to her siblings. She loves attention and will roll over on her back for belly scratches and pats. She is the calmest and most docile of the litter. She is the dirty bird of the group and will find a mud hole or dirt to roll in. She loves to stand in her water bowl so I think she will be a dog that loves water. She is the second smallest of the group and will not reach the size of her brindle siblings in my opinion. She is very friendly with my other dog and parents, but, like her siblings, she has not been around children or cats for any length of time to tell what she will be like with them. However, with her submissive attitude, I think that she will be fine with them. She also did not bother our chickens at all when they were out and was fine with them. She will lead if she is in a calm environment but will balk if there is a lot going on around her. She was learning to sit and lie down with treats, but I have not had a lot of time to teach her things. She does seem to be one of the most intelligent of the group, though. She chews like the others, but like with Boots I think that she is just teething being only four months old. A dog as sweet as her should have a long and happy life with loving people to look after her. If she has that, I think that she will look after you, too. Thank you for your time and your interest.
