This is Skinnie. She is one of 5 puppies that I rescued from my road that someone dumped them out on at the end of March. They were covered in fleas and malnourished with no other signs of neglect or abuse. I have had them for about a month and a half and they are now wormed and treated for fleas and ticks. I got their vaccinations on 5/24/2026 and their check up came back good with no problems found. They are probably a Catahoula or Cur mix, but I am not sure of their breed and neither was the vet. He did say that they would get to about 50 or 60 pounds and were about four months old though. I am trying to find them a good home that they will be loved in as I will not be able to take care of them in the long term. My family is having a lot of health problems and I already have one dog that I rescued from our road that I have taken in full time about two years ago. Skinnie is the klutz of the group and is always bumping into something. She is brindle in color with white feet. When I found her hiding in the woods in a briar thicket, she had a skint nose earning her the name Skinnie. She is very playful and likes to be the first one to get your attention at the start of the day. She differs to Grendel but is not submissive with the others. She does not like a leash, but she will lead if she doesn't have a lot of distractions. She probably has the shortest attention span of the the lot, but she was learning to sit with treats and will come to me when called. She isn't aggressive with my other dog or my parents, but ,like Grendel, she doesn't like chickens. She has never been around children or cats, so I am unsure how she will take to them even though I have not seen any aggressive behavior when I took her to the vet. She is the watch dog of the group and will alert you if there is something out of the ordinary going on. She will shy when scolded and whine when she gets in trouble, usually for heading to the mud hole or chewing on something. She is a little rough when playing, but nothing that I would call aggressive. Like with Grendel, the local shelters were full and no one would take her in. She deserves a good loving home. Thank you for your time and interest.
